How to remove fees on Good Dog

Did you find your Lucky Pup on Gooddog.com? If so, we're required to use their platform for all transactions. Good Dog's On-Platform Payment Policy states that all deposit and dog payments between Good Breeders and Good Dog buyers must be made securely on Good Dog.

Good Dog will present you with the option to pay for Protection & Support. This ensures your payment is fully protected by the Good Dog Guarantee, which includes free access to Good Dog’s Puppy Training Program (a $235 value!), exclusive discounts from their partners, lifetime support from their team of experts, and more.

While this offers valuable benefits, you might prefer to opt out and avoid the associated fee. Good news! You can do this by using the "Friends and Family" payment option, although it can be a little tricky to find .

Here's a step-by-step guide to help with Removing Fees on Good Dog:

  1. Once you receive your payment request, click on the "i" with a circle around it.

  2. Click on "Learn More". This will provide more details about the payment options.

  3. Click on "Change to Friends and Family Payment" at the bottom of the page. This option is often located at the very bottom, so you might need to scroll down.

  4. Select the payment type - "Friends and Family (not protected)".Choosing this option means your payment will not be covered by the Good Dog Guarantee.

  5. It will ask if you are sure. Confirm your selection. Confirm that you want to choose the Friends and Family option.

  6. The fee is now removed! You should see the updated payment amount without the Protection & Support fee.

Bonus Tip: You can also remove the processing fee by selecting "Bank Account" as your payment method and using your bank account instead of a credit or debit card.

To make this even easier, I've included a video below demonstrating exactly what to do.

We hope this helps you navigate the Good Dog payment process smoothly!
